Utah Symphony presented a new concert experience at Abravanel Hall during their 2018-19 season. The audience was encouraged to wear what made them comfortable, forget all the concert etiquette rules, and enjoy lobby activities and food and beverage on the plaza.
I designed the logo for the UNWOUND concert series premiere. I played with the kerning and connected the “u” and the “n” to create a contemporary look while also incorporating Utah Symphony’s branded typography. I wanted the word “unwound” to look as if it was connected in some areas to give the illusion that it was unwinding.
